How We’re Handling COVID-19
Last updated February 15, 2022.
The provincial government has classified our work as essential. As we all continue to monitor the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation, we wanted to reach out and let you know the actions we’re taking to ensure we can continue to serve our clients and the community as safely and effectively as possible.
YOUR SAFETY – We’re committed to following the guidelines provided by the Federal government, province and city. This includes ‘social distancing’. Everyone on our team can conduct meetings and negotiations by phone or online.
OPEN HOUSES
We are now hosting in-person open houses. Your safety is front of mind. Full COVID-19 protocols will be in effect, including:
- Bathroom usage is not permitted.
- Shoes must be removed upon entry into the home.
- Properly worn masks are mandatory for all visitors. Masks will be available for those who do not have a mask.
- Hand sanitizer will be available for all visitors. All visitors will be required to sanitize their hands upon entry into the home.
- No food, eating nor drinking will be allowed.
As always, for all of our listings we’ll have full information, photos, floor plans and a 3D Walkthrough on our website if you aren’t yet comfortable seeing the property in person.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
ONLINE OPEN HOUSES – We’re still conducting open houses online for select properties. Each of our listings will include a full 3D Matterport walkthrough, along with one of our agents available on Facebook Live for two hours over the weekend to answer any questions.
SHOWINGS – We understand that showings are necessary for serious buyers who’re looking to purchase a home. We follow the rules & protocols laid out by our brokerage:
1) Prior to scheduling a property showing, we urge all buyers to view the photographs/video tour of the property attached to this listing.
2) Prior to confirming the property showing, you must confirm that:
a) No one attending the showing (i.e. your clients, you) has recently travelled anywhere outside of Canada or has been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada.
b) No one attending the showing (i.e. your clients, you) has had any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days: Fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing.
c) No one attending the showing (i.e. your clients, you) has come in contact with anyone with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis in the last 14 days.
3) Prior to entering the home or touching the lockbox, we ask that you practice safe hygiene by disinfecting your hands/gloves. Hand sanitizers will be provided in the home whenever possible.
4) During the property showing, we require that you limit touching as much as possible. All interior doors will be open and lights will also be on. We ask that you do not close any doors or turn off the lights.
5) Do not use the washroom facilities during your viewing.
6) Showings shall be limited to only the buyers and shall not include additional family members, friends or children unless there are exceptional circumstances and prior arrangements are made with the listing agent.
7) If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact the listing agent.
If you have any additional questions about our showings, please contact us.
THE MARKET – So far we haven’t noticed a dramatic shift in the market. Our most recent listings this week sold in a matter of days. Lower interest rates should also offer a new host of possibilities to buyers. This of course could change very quickly.
If you have any real estate related concerns, please reach out and we’ll do our best to answer your questions. We can also refer you to mortgage and/or investment specialists that might be able to help.
Whatever happens we’re dedicated to coming up with new, effective solutions for our clients and those who need our help. This includes…
THE COMMUNITY – We realize this pandemic is having an unprecedented impact on the lives of countless people and families across the GTA. The need for support has never been greater. As this situation evolves, we will continue to evaluate how can best serve our community.
